Garden Therapy

As outreach to our aging community, in 1979, Columbia Garden Club’s Garden Therapy was created to share monthly gardening projects and hands-on crafts with approximately 20 residents of Christopher Towers Retirement Community.

Projects include seasonal decorations, door-hangers, potted plants, fresh flower arrangements and bird feeders among many others.

At the meeting’s conclusion, member coordinators provide tea, sandwiches, fruit and sweets for the Garden Therapy members. Meaningful memories and tender friendships are formed by all in attendance.
